This will give you a rough idea, but as with anything else you should "shop around".

Is it worth selling as little as 6 grams on ebay though?
When I looked, a lot of it was above 20 grams...
What do you think?I love comping! Just waiting for the call from ITV!

I got recommended to http://www.starrefining.com/ . They are a refinery that jewellers use but you can go direct. They have agents in some towns or they send a special delivery envelope. You send the jewellery to them. They smelt it. Take a small charge to do so and pay you via cheque. It takes from 7 days to 3 weeks depending on how busy they are. I found Nicky really helpful in their office. (Think she's the manager).0

My jeweller is offering £2.42 for 9ct and £4.84 for 18ct - Per gramA minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

www.falkosgold.co.uk are offering £4.70 per gram for 9ct at the moment.
Dont sell your 18ct for £4.84 because you are being severely ripped off!0 -
I used www.howcashforgold.co.uk I wasn't sure whether to sell or not and checked there site and others everyday for over a week. It just so happened the price of gold went up during that time and they were one of the few websites to match the rises in the cost of gold. They obviously match the fall in price as well, but at least you know your getting a realistic quote for the time.
Some of the sites lure you in with a extremely competitive price for 9ct per gram, but fail to match the high quotes through the different carats! Be sure to check the prices quoted for the type of gold you are selling!
What swung it for me was that I watched a BBC report which feature their company, so I thought they must be pretty reliable (otherwise I'd be nervous just sending a company my valuable gold to a company I found on the Net! It's not quite the same as buying a book after all!!).
Good luck to all those cashing in on gold. I just wish Gordon Brown would have thought a little harder about giving up our Country's valuable gold when he sold it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=527090&in_page_id=1770)

SPAM, SPAM, SPAM
I agree, mattafc is clearly advertising his own business as he has put links for his hatton metals site on about 6 of his posts...
With regards to the howcashforgold site - I think that may be spam too... If the bbc had them on the news, it would have only been for about 20 seconds or so... just sounds too salesey to me...
Best advice, check all the sites seen here, then go to your local jewellers and try and haggle with them a good price based on the net prices. That way you know you are not being ripped off!
Don't use ebay, it costs 10% of total sale price in fees.0
