thats ok but what happens if i was alergic to beef or could not eat it for religious reasons. bit bad i thought that you cannot even trust a butcher !

Your not and there are no cases where being sold beef instead of lamb have caused any problems to anyone therefore this isn't an issue. So why mention it?

maybe not but if they can mix these two up then what else can they mix up - i myself am very allergic to both pork and lamb so a different mix up could make me very ill.

How on earth did you manage to mistake beef for a lamb chop?!?! The two are quite different!

I thought that, what does a beef chop look like? Did it have a bone?

Being very allergic to both pork and lamb I assume you'd be able to tell the difference though?

actually no! having been veggie most of my life i cant .. but i do know several people in my situation who still eat meat and it would be a problem for them. ok i have eaten so called veggie products (and been ill as they contained pork/lamb fat)!! also i have had an experience in hospital where i explained my allergy to a aneathistist (sp) who laughed off my allergy and tried to give me gelifusion during surgery to counteract blood loss - had adrenilin pretty quick and woke up with a red tag - several other meds also crossed off my chart by the hospital pharmacy.
