Well i`ve had a nsd today and infact haven`t spent anything since Saturday, that`s because there`s nothing left in the pot to spend.

I`ll be starting to mealplan for May`s GC soon, i`m more determined than ever to make it in May after this months disaster :o

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Scotsaver _party_  _party_

sashanut :T Thanks for the Impossible Coconut Pie recipe - sounds really yummy so I'll definitely try that.

arkonite_babe I always add loads of breadcrumbs when I make meatballs/ tuna meatballs ;)

mandy_moo_1 I think the tinned curry sauce at 5p/tin, shower gel at 10p/bottle and bubble bath at 20p/litre nykmedia gets is all value stuff.

I've just updated my sig. Tonight's MrT delivery came to £50.56, which is the lowest I've managed to get it so far :j My total is now £295.24 so I've got £54.76 left for next weeks delivery. It wasn't looking so good because I spent way too much in the first couple of weeks but I think I might just be able to make it on target this month :A

And I finally got some bread flour this week (48p 1.5KG @ MrT). They've been out of stock for weeks cos everyone keeps stocking up  so I'll be able to make some pizza now :j

I think I'm going to set next month's budget at £300 as it will be a 4 week month. The last two 4 week months I budgeted at £320 and came in under budget both times so I think I should lower it for May. Fingers crossed.

Keep up the good work everyone!! :T :T

    Hi everyone
Going to make this short....well shortish, determined to get to bed early. All had packed lunches with cooked meat and salad, fruit etc, dinner tonight was pasta bol (again) and there is enough left for OH tomorrow night - is there no end to this bowl:D, shouldn't really reheat again I know but horse, constitution and all that. Tomorrow night me, DS and DD will have the rest of the frozen smoked fish for kedgeree, trying to use up freezer contents. Lunch tomorrow for me and OH - rolls (still making way thru' massive batch of whoopsied) with remainder of cooked meat and salad, and DS and DD will have ham and cheese muffins from the freezer. Would almost be able to see the bottom of the freezer if it wasn't for all the stashed cravendale:DNSD past 2 days and probably tommorow also but then will need fruit again! - does anyone else find a big part of their budget goes on fruit? not including tins and not even exotic or out of season stuff either.
Oooooh no there's me getting on my high horse so close to bedtime - not good
Thanks again for all recipes :T

    Evening all :D

Well the courgette teabread muffin thingies are a hit :T ...hubby -"mr I don't have a sweet tooth" snaffled a couple before asking me to put them away where he couldn't see them :p .. so out of the 36 -10 have gone in the freezer for when i get a sweet munchy on me and 20 have been packed up for hubby to take to work tomorrow they will keep for a week in his drawer -but i bet the tub comes back empty tomorrow :rotfl: and the other six... well lets just say "i didn't eat them"

I have cut those whoopsed steaks up and wrapped em and they are now stashed in the freezer......
have 16 fillets that will do both of us a meal (with caramalised onions n peppers and stuffed in tortillas or stirfried with noodles)and the big steaks have been halved...so I have 4 that will make a pie/curry to serve 4 each.... so 24 meals for 2 for just over €5 :j that should give me a head start next month ;)
Hubby is due to be paid on friday but im gonna try and hold off on starting the new budget for as long as i can...fingers crossed

right had better get off.... having an easy day tomorrow...as todays loaf has gone untouched  half of hubbies bolognaise is in the fridge and he wants that tomorrow and there is only 1 piece missing from the courgette quiche -so guess what im having tomorrow ;) . So hopefully tomorrow will be a day plodding in the garden :T
have a great evening everyone :D
