My daughter's school shirts are disgraceful! Pen, spag bol, chocolate - you name it, she's got it down her. But I feel so ad sending her to school in stained clothes. But I resent constantly paying out as they're only a couple of months old. How can I get them looking half decent and not have to hang my head in shame in the playground?

I am sure there are other threads on this - this is how I picked up this tip a few months ago.
Napisan!!
You can soak the white polo shirts in it for upto 24 hours. It does stain the clothing blue, but when you wash them in the washing machine they magically turn white again - minus the stain!
Speaking (or typing lol) as someone who got through 15 polo shirts last school year - it has already saved me a fortune and I have only been using it since September.
I now swear by it.:hello:0 -

You took the words right out of my mouth. Napisan is the very thing you need to get. Soak all the shirts in a bucket and then put them through the wash. I have used it ever since I saw it recommended in Gina Ford's Contented Little Baby book and that was 7 years ago!!!!!!“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. It's good stuff is napisan
But if it doesn't do the job there are some handy links on washing powders and stains from Nile who used to work testing them here:-

Would any napisan users know if it would work OK on net curtains?
in the house we are moving into the nets are gross:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Has anyone tried Napisan on their 'delicates'???
I will try it on my everyday knicks, but should I try anything lacier to try and bring back the sparkle?0 -
I put it in the drawer in the washing machine with the powder when I wash whites (and other stuff sometimes if its really dirty), including lacy bras and they come up lovely. I am now not ashamed to hang them on the line!0
