Dodgy holiday "win"

I think this is from travel channel or something they say. The number that calls is from Spain but the lady is Scottish. Apparently we "won" £750-1250's worth of accommodation in Tenerife for a week. 2 catches: no flights, and you have to pay an admin fee of £150.
This might appeal to some, but I've won enough hols to keep us going for a bit
so we certainly won't be considering it. They're very persistent and ring about 3-4 times per week. They spoke to my partner and tried to persuade him but didn't get very far with me
Just sounds a bit iffy to me so wanted to warn others!:o

wowsers i won too! they told me i had to pay one night but would get 7 nights. they said it was a runner up prize from sky! i said to them to pass it on to someone else :rotfl:the bloke said we've never had anyone say that before! i said yeah but i know its a con!

thanks for the number zippie. Perhaps it was sky then! We didn't pay much attention to the initial call because we were enjoying a legit holiday win in Scotland at the time :P

I had the same type of call at 6 Oclock last night - which I Immediately thought was strange because the genuine prize winning phone calls I have had in the past have all been Monday to Friday, Office hours.
The very persistant man asked me if I remembered entering a competition on the Travel Channel website which is part of Sky TV. He did not actually say I had won but when asked if it was Time share he said that the resort was fully sold out but there were holidays not being used on certain dates and people like me had been selected to fill the empty slot as it was better to have someone like me at the resort spending money. I asked how much it would cost me and he said £149 plus flights (1st prize included flights) He said the holiday was worth over £1000.
At that point I told him it was not a prize win if I had to spend that amount of money and that I was not interested which he was quite surprised at?
The Tel no I had the call from was 034922761546

My call was from a lady who was less persistent, and offered the same 'runner up prize - when asked if I was interested in this, I said that no not really as I hadn't entered the competition with then a view to spend money getting a prize!

i had great escapes call me re the sky one.
a 2nd prize - yet appears everyone wins 2nd prize LOL and has to pay.
Sounds lovely but would rather win a proper holiday that wont cost.Eleventh Heaven no 710 - we can all dream0 -
