I am going away in July to the Canary Islands. The sun and wind combined are very deceptive. Anybody know where I can get high factor suntan lotion at a reasonable price. Thought i'd start stocking up now because its so pricey!
Thanks for any help given.

Hi Steve
If you are needing something which you only need to apply once a day and has a SPF of 20 I have not been able to find anything better than P20. It is nearly £20 for a 200ml bottle here, but in most of the Canaries you can get it cheaper. It is in an orange and white box.
You need to apply it when you get up in the morning, about an hour before you hit the beach, but once it is on, you should not burn. It is also waterproof.
I swear by the stuff!

Thanks for that sounds great - to only apply once all day! That will do for me. Where is it available?
Now i just have to sort the kids out with factor 35+ and we'll be laughing!

Thanks for the replies
P20 Sounds perfect for me and the wife. Does one bottle last for a fortnight for one person?

Word of warning re P20. It only has protection against UVB rays, not UVA which are also known to cause longer term damage to the skin.
Piz Buin Once-a-Day does the same thing (much less binding time too) but is over £12 for a tube, but currently BOGOF in Boots.
For the kids, I use Prosport Factor 44, it's another once a day only appliction. These creams probably aren't very MoneySaving though - but they are hassle-saving!
There's an earlier thread on suncream HERE.
Enjoy your holiday!0 -
Piz Buin which i swear by is on offer at TJ Hughes at £5.99 a bottle.0
