I also found the spell checker (English - British) does not seem to work well with the newer versions of Firefox - try checking for updates for add-ons as this seems to temporally fix the problem.

You can use sites like this one to spell check stuff if you want.

If you look under tools > add-ons the spell checker will say it's not compatible with your version of Firefox hence why it's not working. try checking for updates for add-ons as this seems to temporally fix the problem even though you already have the latest version of the spell checker.

I have the latest version of FF, under add ons there is noting about spelling.

I have used FF for a long time it has never check spelling but it seems that by default it shoud have been.

Oh I thought you already had it installed but it wasn't working... No spell checking is an add-on and you can get them from here.

Stupid thing there is a box to tick say check spelling but then you have to guess that you have to install something else so it works!

    Thanks Jaffa

Does anyone know how to get the British English dictionary FF extension working? I've got FF 3.0.10 with the British English v1.19 (latest, shows no "not compatible with your version of Firefox" errors), the language set to en-GB and spell checking turned on.

It still tells me that color is right and colour is wrong!

What else do I need to do?
