AreEasyjet putting on any coaches from lisbon airport.

ive got a flight to lisbon thursday from Azores, however, i cannot get my easyjet connection to UK if there are no flights.

Are easyjet putting on any coaches to get tourists back to the UK, if i can get to France i can get home some how but its the lisbon to France im having problems with.

To hire a car its over 2500 euros for one day. no trains as all booked up. no ferry service from lisbon to France.

if they are charging €2500 for a days car hire i would simply buy the cheapest banger i could find then drive to calais and abandon it.

the only probelm here is that it will be hit and miss wether you buy a decent car also there is car insurance to consider, this option was thought but its not really a good idea, also it could land me up in prison.

You say you can get back if you can get to France. How about flying Lisbon to Marseille? or possibly Barcelona and then getting train to France from Barcelona?

Unless you son's friend has a Spanish issued ID number (can't remember what it is called) then he can't legally buy a Spanish registered car.

have you seen the price of flights, even if its possible to get. the flights are around 1800 euros. companies are cashing in while they can.

i cant get a train or bus or ferry. ive explored all options. at the moment i can get my flight on thursday from azores to lisbon but then im stuck

isnt the british government help british people get home in any way, ive been on the the british consolute site but no info on there, you cannot even talk to a easyjet representiative on the phone to explore any options it seems passesngers have to fend for themselves.

I have a few hundred euro left and thats it, whats happpening to people who do not have a vast ammount of cash to spend to try to get home. i cant believe that this situation is out of control with no end in sight

What routing/airline were you originally travelling, my understanding is that the airlines should rebook you (or refund), so you should not have to fork out again

my route was gatwick to Lisbon with easyjet at a cost of 30 quid, then PAT airline to Azores.

the problem isnt the cost of the flight its getting home. Even if easyjet refund 30 quid isnt going to get me far. Even if they reschedule when will that be they will not put me in a hotel for several days.

Hopefully the situation may now have subsided, so im hoping this continues and my flight from Lisbon to Gatwick will go.

If you have an Easyjet flights booked and you get to Lisbon on time then it is Easyjet's job to get you home. If that means a day or stop over in Lisbon then they have to pay for meals and hotel.
