Hi All,
A friend of mine alerted me to a language site that is offering a free 6 week online course in Spanish commencing on May 11th @ 19:30 BST.
According to the site, the lessons will be given via web conferencing software which do not require a download.
There does not appear to be any catches with this free offer.
Find more information at The Language Machine.

Let me know how you get on if you manage to get on the course.

www.LiveMocha.com
A powerful way of learning a large number of languages, including Spanish, that connects you with speakers of the Language you want to learn, who can then critique your spelling, pronunciation etc... And it's naturally Free (otherwise I wouldn't post it!)0 -
I'm not sure about the Launguage Machine website, it just crashed my browser twice, seems a little didgy to me!0

I prefer "Coffee Break Spanish" - you can download the mp3's to your mp3 player and listen at your leisure. It's free for the mp3's - if you want extra material, they charge extra:

They issue a new podcast each week, but as you can download them, it doesn't matter if you're a long way behind.0 -
I use 'online-spanish-course.com' . It's free to use and they send out an automated e-mail containing a Spanish sentence and a few words each day. That way you don't have any excuses for not learning a Spanish word a day!
You can also go to the website and listen to Spanish words and add them in to a loop. You keep the words in the loop until you feel comfortable that you know them or just have them repeat every so often.
You can upgrade for a fee and this allows you to listen to the sentences in Spanish too.0 -
I will have a look at The Language Machine, MrCrip. I have studied Spanish at university and my other half is also learning Spanish now.
I would also like to suggest that you have a look at the BBC Languages webpages ( bbc.co.uk/languages ). The last time I was on the website there was a very good, interactive programme - "Mi Vida Loca" - and other fun and interactive exercises.
I will look at LiveMocha, DavyBoy. I need to brush up my spoken Spanish and this sounds like it might be what I need. There is a light at the end of every tunnel... just pray it’s not a train! _pale_0 -
Better be quick to enrol as the last time the places went quick - this is a 6 week course caried out online

The OP says its carried out online so I would imagine its like rosetta stone where you use your microphone, either that or it could be a written course?I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
