A&L 14% Regular saver (Doesn't) Save and Protect

While browsing my Alliance and Leicester site I noticed they do a regular saver with a whopping 14%, so I decided to investigate. If you take out a Life insurance policy with Legal and General through them, you get the rate for 12 months on payments up to 250 a month. So I tried something......
First I did a quote from L&G's own site using my standard family details.
20.05 a month.:j
Then I used the same details, on the same looking window which I was logged into through A&L's site link.
This time 24.66!!!:mad:
That's 4.51 difference, which over 12 months is quite considerable.
It just show's you don't get money for nothing!!!!
Anyone else had a similar experience?
