Roofing advice !!

I have noticed I can see daylight through some of the tile/joints. I have had the Ridge tiles repointed couple of years ago but I think some of the tiles need replacing.
I know there is this spray insulation stuff that companies can do for you from inside the loft that keeps your loft insulated and secures the tiles. They say doing this is much cheaper than a reroofing option.
Can anyone offer any advice on this spray insulation, their experience if had done and ideas of price.
Mine's a 3 bed detached built in the 1940's.

Some relatives of ours had this done a couple of years ago, against advice, and are now paying for it big style.
A leak has developed in the roof and they have been unable to trace the leak or repair it. A roofer has been unable to remove any tiles for repair as they are all 'glued' together".
Apart from this problem, there is no ventilation to the roof timbers as they were all covered with the foam stuff. When a section of the foam was scraped off to find the leak, it was noticed how rotton the timbers had become.
A new roof is inevitable, quotes so far have been ridiculous. The roofers want more labour to get rid of this roof, apparantly its harder to break up, plus add on the costs for new roof timbers.
The stuff cost more than a new roof initially, plus it made the house smell as there was no ventilation. If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

Yes leave it well alone.0 -
If it was any good it would be done at the time of the build!!!!I save so I can spend.0

Stayaway from this Roof spray Insulation, you are asking for future problems,as posted above0

Well, got to give it to all.
From the above, I'll not be having this done. So saved on future expense.
Now looking for a Roofer. Much bigger expense, but longterm security.
Thanks everyone.

I seriously doubt it will be a much bigger expense, these guys usually charge 75% of what a re-roof would cost. A re-roof is 500% better value for your money.
