I'm doing roast lamb on Saturday for Mum's birthday and want it to be the best roast she's ever had. So far I'll be doing:
- Boneless leg of lamb (is this the best lamb joint for roasting?)
- Roast potatoes in dripping
- Roast parsnips
- Swede mashed with real butter and pepper
- Carrots
- Broccoli
- Peas
- Yorkshire puds
- Stuffing
- Gravy, mint jelly, mint sauce, redcurrant jelly
Have I missed anything out, apart from invitations for you lot ?

The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Just a thought, swede and carrots are nice mashed together
Might save a serving dish and you can cook them together

I would allways go for a bone in joint as it keeps it moist. I acyually really like shoulder of lamb. Insert garlic and rosemary, yummyPawpurrs x0

Have to admit that I'd also go for a joint on a bone.
Much more interested in where my invite is though......roast lamb is my favourite.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

It sounds delicious, I agree with Strepsy about the sprouts though.0

It sounds delicious.
My favourite roast lamb is leg with the bone in and lots of slivers of garlic and rosemary. I have to agree with the others, lose the broccoli and add sprouts.
