32JP at Riversdale Rd N5 (Islington) - HELP!

Options
Is there any body who can help me re the PCN 32JP I received in Islington on the 17 April 2009. To be honest I was confused as the junction appears immediately on turning the corner and then you are faced with numerous signage. I chose to go through the middle ‘money box’ as the combination of the bike going left, the cycle marking on the rode and the fact that the width looked too small (so I thought it was for bikes only in the 3 secs I had to decide). I wasn't overtaking or trying to gain any advantage by going through the middle!

Any help or advise would be grately appreciated. Seems like the council have set it up as another little money grabber.

There's a similar one on the go on pepipoo at the moment. Take a look at that. Looks like the PCN is riddled with errors.

they are not listed yet LOL !!! I was going to do it later - and others will input.

most are on here in the Thomas K thread - but the crucial one, as said, has been corrected.

still think its winnable with a strong, focussed argument.

Just drove past Riversdale Road and guess what... the cycle marking have been removed!!! Sending my letter out next week - a photo of the junction now minus the cycle markings will be included!

The main difference I can see is the central corridor has broken lines where the hatching would be and the pepipoo one has solid lines which logically means NO vehicle can go through the middle(if I understand the highway code correctly)
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Unbelievably Islington council have cancelled my PCN! I said nothign more than complain that the junction was confusing! I was keeping all the legal matter for the adjudicator!! Many thanks all that makes it 3 in a row for me...

On this occasion I have decided to exercise discretion and cancel the charge. However please take care in future to adhere to the signs as further PCNs may be enforced.

Nice one! I guess that's a cover for the cycle markings being removed.

    well done!
