Does anyone have experience of this type of card? The two I've seen advertised are the Splash card and Bliss Platinum Maestro. What is the general opinion on these cards - on the surface they look ideal for my daughters aged 13 who need me to get the cash out of their savings accounts which is fine if we're shopping together but no good when they're shopping with their friends and I'm not with them. I'm wondering if the fees on these cards outweigh the convenience of having one. Any views would be appreciated. Apologies if these have been discussed before but I did a search and couldn't find any mention of them.

Hi I have no direct experience but note a few articles in the Guardian today about them, including this one

There is a card here called cashplus that can be used at any place that takes Visa or mastercard. Downside a £9.95 sign up and other charges0 -
Yes that was finding when you read the terms and conditions on the others - not only do you pay to sign up but there are other charges as well such as 25p on each transaction. Thanks for link - will have a look.0
