Flying out with my wife next week, can anyone give me any idea on how prices are ? and if I'm likely to be able to get any 'techie' stuff...

Thanks

Don't know about 'techie' stuff, as I wasn't looking, well didnt do much shopping at all. What I do remember is that the day to day household and grocery goods are dirt cheap. Not sure if translates to electricals though. Didn't seem to translate to clothes... the H&M I went in was exactly the same prices as the UK.

My husband's job has been based in Prague for the last six years and we have a home there. Electrical goods are not cheap so forget that one. All the British chains are represented, M&S, Debenhams, Next, Zara, Mango etc etc. Prices are the same or slightly higher.

In the tourist areas, there are umpteen shops selling Bohemian crystal and glassware. Not giveaway prices but if it's something you want..............

The only things which I think is worth spending your money on are the pashminas. They are readily available in the city centre from shops and market stalls so shop around first. They are available in every colour under the sun and are extremely cheap.

I have got them in all the different colours and find them to be an invaluable addition to my wardrobe. They are great in winter and in summer. Make great gifts too.
