Logik mp3 (reconditioned) currys (merged)

Logik 512mb mp3 player

Although it is a reconditioned product, it still comes with a full manufacturers warranty!! I think this is a good buy for people who didn't manage to get the Q-be. :T

Don't forget cashback!! :p

Mine turned up today. Un-packed it and desperate to play with it. No battery included. Does anyone know if a battery should have been included.
The instructions "imply" that a battery should have been there "insert 1x1.5 R03/LR03 (AAA) battery into the battery compartment".
I've mailed Currys, but I'm really disappointed as I wanted to play with it.

Anyone any ideas where I can get cheap R03/LRO3 batteries from?

OK just done a search on R03/LR03 and I realise that they are just "normal" batteries not special rechargeable ones! Feel a bit of a fool now :)

I got an Asda AAA zinc carbon battery with mine - haven't even tried using it because I know it won't be any good. You need at least Alkaline batteries to get any use out of an MP3 player and I certainly wouldn't have expected to get a rechargeable battery with it. I've got some Vapex 1000mAh rechargeables which I'll be using with mine ;)

(Oh, and I got a free Joss Stone track included on my player :D )

I emailed Currys and they said they would put a battery in the post. Looking forward to seeing what I get now!

I'm planning on getting some re-chargeable ones but I was desperate to play with it last night and put some music on it (no albums included on mine!)

The headphones look a bit complicated - I'm sure I'll hang myself if I put it round my neck. Everytime I put them down they get tangled up! I've dug out some normal ones.

You'll probably just get a cr@ppy standard zinc carbon battery like I did - unlikely to give you more than an album's worth of listening time. If you're desperate to "have a play" I'd go out and get some alkaline batteries to tide you over until you get some rechargeables (and a recharger if you don't already have one !)

As regards the headphones, I haven't even tried the ones that came with the player - I've just stuck to using my old ones.

Oh, and I didn't get the entire Joss Stone album, it was just a single track !

Though I got a battery, and it was ALKALINE (!!!!) the player is faulty! The damn earphone socket is so tempramental, slight tough to it and the sound goes out in the left earphone :(

I'm a complete technophobe. If I want to copy music from my own CDs to this device is the software all on the CD that comes with it? I'm not bothered about downloading files or anything fancy.
