Have just found this site which will definately help a newbie veggie grower like me:D

Wondered if it may be of use to any of you,
you have to register to get the emails but as far as I can see its all free

http://uktv.co.uk/index.cfm/uktv/Gardens.stepbystep/aid/585746

If you've always fancied having a go at growing your own vegetables, UKTV Gardens Grow Your Own will give you all the information and inspiration to get you started. You don’t even have to have a garden, as some of the veg will grow quite happily in a pot on a windowsill!
Sign up to Grow Your Own, and you'll receive a fortnightly step-by-step email from Chris Collins direct to your inbox. He'll be sharing top tips and advice to help you through the entire process, from sowing your seeds to harvesting your very first crop of tasty home-grown veggies! You can sign up to receive just one, or all six of the growing guides, and you'll receive the first email of the six-part series on the 25th of April.

    Cheers razra.

This is my first year of trying to grow my own.I have just bought a greenhouse and so far all the seeds I have planted are doing well.

I am lucky enough to have an experienced relative to lean on for advice, but I think even he will be interested in the site you found.

What like, biggest carrot? Or, funniest shaped parsnip? Bet there's a few round here who'd be in the running already! :o
