Wealth Warning - Visa abroad

in Credit cards
Having just returned from my hols in Majorca I think it is important that those of us using a Nationwide Credit Card do not get the full benefits of the exchange rate.
Newly installed Visa machines convert the euro into £ with a 3% commission (VERY SNEAKY), however both curriencies are shown. It is only in the small print that you are advised that you should have been given a currency option. The operators do not appear to know how to change the settings.
My advice is ask before paying.

You are the latest victim of the scam reported many times:
Something interesting on nationwide.co.uk
I hope that 'machines' you mention are not ATMs  . If you are aware about this scam and are on the alert - you can always pay cash instead (withdrawn with NW debit or cash card).0
