RULES OF ENTRY FOR NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL COMPETITION

By entering the competition, all entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to abide by these rules. Entrants

1.
Entrants must be over the age of 18 years.

2.
Employees of National Geographic Channel or any associated companies, and members of their families, are not eligible to enter

3.
Entrants can enter the competition only as specified in these terms and conditions and the competition entry form. No entries or calls to National Geographic Channel will be accepted.

4.
Winners will be expected to provide National Geographic Channel with the form of proof of identity as National Geographic Channel in its sole discretion requests.

5.
Failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions will disqualify any entrant from taking part in the competition and National Geographic Channel retains sole discretion to refuse entrants the right to enter if it feels that these terms and conditions are being broken.

6.
National Geographic Channel reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner at its absolute discretion.


Entries

1.
All entries must be received by the closing date of 30th April 2009. Winner(s) of the competition will be notified within 28 days of the closing date.

2.
No subscription to the National Geographic Channel or other purchase is necessary for entry in the competition.

3.
Any entry made giving another person’s (or a false) name will be disqualified.


Prize Draw

1.
Winners of the prize (s) will be drawn from the people who have answered the question correctly on 4th May 2009.

2.
National Geographic Channel’s decision in this competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.


Prizes

1.
The first prize is an HD Camcorder, a Wattson Electicity Meter, a Nat Geo fabric eco-bag, an Extreme Ice book and a kitchen eco starter kit. There are also 150 runner-up prizes of Nat Geo fabric eco-bags. Prize in the competition may be subject to variation at the discretion of the National Geographic Channel.

2.
The prize(s) for this competition will be given to the winner(s) as set out in these terms and conditions and the competition entry form and each winner must accept their prize(s) in that form. Under no circumstances will cash be given as an alternative. The prize(s) is non-refundable and cannot be transferred.

3.
Winners will be liable for any taxes or surcharges that may be levied on a competition prize and for any expenses not specified in the description of the prize.

4.
The National Geographic Channel shall not be liable in any way for any failure or breach by any party in connection with this competition, prize or prizes and accepts no responsibility for any loss suffered by an entrant arising from this competition, prize or prizes.

5.
In all cases the National Geographic Channel will not be held liable for prize(s) that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond their control of the Promoter.


Publicity and Personal Data

1.
By entering the competition, the winner(s) agrees to the use their name or likeness, without compensation, for promotional purposes. National Geographic Channel intends to publicise some or all of the winners of the competition on the National Geographic Channel. Winners will be expected to take part in any PR activity reasonably requested by the National Geographic Channel.


Miscellaneous

1.
Entrants indemnify National Geographic Channel, its agents, employees, representatives, associates, affiliates, parent and subsidiary companies against any and all claims, losses, costs, damages, liability and expenses arising out this competition, prize(s) or these terms and conditions.

2.
Each entrant by entering this competition, expressly releases National Geographic Channel from any claim, action or demand arising out of or in connection with the competition or their prize or prizes, if any.
