I always used to buy mouthwash and it costs a fortune but I found this http://www.breathcleaner.com/TIPS_mouthwash.html
whilst I was looking for information on something else and have successfully been using it ever since. Really is amazing how many things you can do with tea tree oil. Natural product and money saving too
Really cheap site for essential oils, inlcuding tea tree. ;D http://www.directoils.co.uk/dos/index2.htm

I also use tea tree oil as a toner (it is good for oily skin and spots).
I have a small spritzer bottle (smallest size that The Body Shop sell). I fill with water and add 5 drops of tea tree oil and 4 of peppermint oil. Give everything a good shake and it is ready to use.

I second that. Tea tree oil is fabulous for spots, got some for my teenage daughter and what a difference!

Tea tree oil is brilliant for treating fungal nail infections. A friend of mine had a terrible black toenail and he had tried all kinds of prescriptin drugs to no effect. I suggested he should try teatree and infection disappeared within a couple of weeks. I would use it neat in this situation but you need to be a bit careful as it can cash a rash if used undiluted.0

I use Tea tree oil for everything from Mouth ulcers (Painful but effective) to spots.
It's fab, apparently Lavender oil does the same job but i can't use it as it gives me a headache, even though it's supposed to stop them! :-/0 -
lavendar doesn't give me a headache but a lot of others do, sandal wood gives me stinking headache.0

Excellent, have got tea tree oil at home & skin has been really terrible since I came off the pill :-[. Can I dab it on undilluted or do I need to mix it with something?
Lavender oil gives me headaches too, I use chamomile instead where lavender is recommended.
Thanks

Thanks for the advice Franky. Does it work as a preventative to nits or just a treatment? Only asking because I have just started a new job in a primary school and there has been an outbreak of them! Makes me want to scratch just thinking about it!!!
I too am allergic to lavender and geranium as well, it gives me hayfever and yet I have been told to use it to help me sleep!! Does anyone know if there is any thing else that would help without making me sneeze? Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

unless you are allergic, have you tried egg white. my thirteen yr old has hit a spotty stage, and he been puyying an egg white on his face, leaving it to dry and rinsing in warm water, every other day, and his skin is much improved. , after first two though, loads of spots came out, but now there are hardly any, think it was just bringing them to the surface.0
