combi microwave oven

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
in In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving
Hi hoping some of you eager MSE's can help,
Im on the look out for a low cost microwave with built in convection oven,
As ours has just gone on the blink tonight,
Have seen them in lidl b4 for around £40.00 but not there at the moment, any tips appreciated.

    Beware, I had always had a sharp combi microwave which gave temperature up to 220 C. Thought I was being clever when I bought a replacement for half the price in makro. BIG mistake !!!. No clock, only 60min timer, max temp 180 C, Cannot cook ready meals, absolutely useless, can't wait for it to pack up then I can justify a new one.

    We have a Delhongi one. It has quite a large capacity and does the lot brilliantly.Argos for around £120 ish.

    We have a Panasonic one and it's excellent, it's a fan oven, grill and microwave all in one. Extremely reliable, and is used everyday in oven mode to save heating our main oven! However it's more of the premium price, John Lewis have good prices on them.

    I don't think you have seen a Combi for £40.00 at Lidl, the only one I have seen at that price range is a combination Micro / Grill without convection oven.

    Aldi have convection ones at about £60 from time to time.

    thanks all for the tips,
    good news the oven started working again today !

    so hopefully that saved me buying a new one for now,

    apparantly the electric went off yesterday (while the convection oven part of the microwave was being used) - being as this microwave oven has a digital control panel, i put the fault down to that, because when we turned it on today it seemed to be all working properly.:j :beer:

    this sound exactly what i'm looking for,our main oven is quite large and it seems a waste to use it for cooking small things.
    can I ask what model you have?

    Can I ask too, I'm looking into this at the moment!

    Haven't got much (any) money, but dont mind finding some for a decent machine as I've had it with cheap chinese white goods these days as they never seem to last more than five minutes.
