Freeview Advice

I thinking of buying a Freeview Box with Hard Disk, can anyone recommend a box and where to buy.

I'm too cheap to go to Sky, I don't to be forking out money for channels I won't watch.

Thanks

Well since January I have had a Humax 9200T and I think it’s absolutely brilliant.
Twin digital tuner, 160 GB disk drive which is good for about 100 hours recording.
Too many features to list here and I don’t even know what half the buttons do on the remote control.
I must admit there is a couple of small bugs/niggles but Humax should be doing a software update soon to fix them.

This site shows some of the problems people are having with many of the new PVR’s.

And this is the Humax UK web site.

I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes.

    Hi
Topfield 5800 for me, excellent quality/build and reception, freeview, twin tuner, 160gb hd, watch one programme whilst recording another 2, usb connection, the list goes on, dearer than the Humax though.

    And NO subscription to Sky.

    Hope this helps

I also rate the Humax 9200t, am sure there are a lot of features though that I am not using. Will the niggles be automatically updated, or will I have to do some jiggery pokery. My only complaint is that if I record something it doesnt automatically record the whole programme and invariably leaves the last few mins off at the end
