It's time to choose the kitchen sink...

And I know I can rely on MSE
:T
We want a ceramic undermount sink and some sort of stainless steel mixer tap.
It would be a single rectangular sink (probably slightly smaller than normal).
Wickes cancelled my sink when I cancelled the worktop so now I'm ploughing through options of a new kitchen sink.
Please help. I like Franke sinks but they don't really do many single ceramic undermounted ones. ARGHHHHHHHHH
(cheap would be good too but I'd like one that wouldn't crack if we accidentally dropped something on it, so I can be flexible)

Why don't you just PM me, it'd be quicker lol
Why do you want ceramic? Have you looked into all the pro's and con's i.e. they look nice, but can damage quite easily. Would a white composite undermount sink not be better for you, something like the the Fiji range by Carron Phoenix?

They don't scratch, don't stain and don't damage through heat...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Good afternoon: for durability, range of styles and cost, you can't beat stainless steel....but not what you want to hear;). We've seen too many cracked ceramics and blown work tops over the years tbh....that being said, this looks intriguing.

That look great, it seems to say it's made from granite but I will not explore composite undermount sinks.0 -

It's made from bits of granite mashed up, with a resin pumped into it, so it is completely non-porrus.
That's the only reason it's a composite, as it's not 100% natural...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I meant to say that I will now explore composite sinks.
Work is mad at the moment but how hard can it be to buy a sink?0 -
Hi Misskool
We only really sell Blanco sinks. They have a promotion on a decent range of sinks at very good prices at the moment, its really for the trade to make extra money! Have a look at this single bowl under mount in the Silgranite (composite) material, they also do the same sink in ceramic.
https://www.blanco.co.uk/products/sink/blancosubline500undermount
It should be £400 in Silgranite and £460 in ceramic but you should be able to get either finish at the moment for around £330.
Hope this helps.0
