edit - from now on, I'll bump this thread with new brands, rather than post a new one each time (I also posted VoipbusterPro, SmsDiscount here first)
launched in the last hour, I should think
http://www.justvoip.com/en/index.html
you can see how new it is - UK mobiles rate is 5c + vat

Apparently this has no facility for SIP settings to be used, either from an ATA or any other way, and it is now said there is no intention for this in future.
It's a pity, as its excellent rates for mobiles would have been good with call forwarding or callback
There are rumblings about this on a couple of forums, including a German one where I only partly understand the tech details, as there was originally a link to a missing page of SIP settings, and some people may have funded their accounts on the assumption of using this later.
edit - strangely, SIP settings can't be used for outgoing calls from eg an ATA, but an incoming DID can be pointed at the address, which might make it a bit useful for cheap forwarding to a mobile0 -
https://www.12voip.com launched today
also has 5c rate to UK mobiles, and other rates look the same as JustVoip
I don't know yet if it supports setting up SIP details, but somehow I doubt it0 -
I missed Voipwise launching while I was away in the summer, but today
http://www.voipraider.com/en/index.html
It seems to be default priced in dollars, which might hint at the target audience ........ it might be interesting to someone - Pakistan very cheap, and India only a couple of pence - but don't expect those rates to last forever ...0 -
Free texts to UK/US mobiles is nice - I actually end up using this a surprising amount, because you can type a text message and not have to use the cruddy little mobile keypad/screen. Doesn't look like it supports sip though (the ones that do seem to have a sip page?).
Still prefer voipcheap.com overall though.0 -
several brands have the free text messages at the moment
there will be a fair use policy for texts, and the offers will end sometime0 -
I've forgotten to post some, like calleasy smslisto and voiphit, but
http://www.intervoip.com/en/
no destinations actually free, cheap mobile rates though, but don't expect them to last forever that low0 -
I've been reading through and don't really understand it all. I have used Skpe in the past but the quality of the calls was never very good. (I was only using a cheap headset!)
Perhaps someone more technical can help. At the moment I run a small business from home and have 2 lines, home and business. The business line is for phone and fax. In a couple of months I'm moving to Greece but still want to run my business.
What I want is for customers to dial a local number for calls and faxes (preferably the same number as I have now) and I want to either answer the call or divert to my mobile, or answer machine - or receive the fax. I also want friends and family to call us cheaply or for free.
Is that possible? And should I set it up now in the UK or wait until I'm in Greece. I will be using the same PC but the broadband provider will be different.
Any help and ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks0 -
They're still launching new ones. This one says it has a regular monthly fee, rather then the ad hoc top-ups of the others

Something I've noticed is that esytablished brands are getting occasional price cuts, for example smsdiscount recently0 -
Smartvoip not long ago, and now Actionvoip
Some brands have different rates for SIP calls than those made from the software client, and I haven't checked these yet.
edit: apparently Actionvoip is separately owned but uses the Betamax network0
