argh! So sorry, I really should learn to read shouldn't I? I took it from it being her 1st birthday.
Oh well I won't be winning either :(
  • have you all read the Retrochick blogs? I'm a follower and buy stuff from her website quite often, so I hope that you will at least allow Retrochick to add you to her email database in return for entering the competition, especially if you are entering under multiple email addresses.

Retrochick is a new-ish independent business trying to get off the ground and needs to run things like the Ped-egg giveaway to get more footfall to her site. She's not a big corporation with a bottomless pit of marketing money, so please give her a chance and just enter the comp once with a valid email addy that she can use in the hopes of building her business.

Please play fair and give a small independent online shop a fair chance to build her customer base in these harsh trading times, don't just take the prize and run.

    Thanks
    Ruth

I apologise I didn't mean to suggest people should enter lots of times, only that people who had entered wrongly due to my error could retry this way as I did. I have removed any suggestion from the original post. Personally I haven't entered any more than twice. I have also signed up to her mailing list (and favourited her ebay shop though nowt in my size just now :( ), and I'm sure others here will have too. I've found a lot of nice smaller shops through comping here and I've seen others say the same. By being advertised here I'm sure her promo is working well. :)
  • Hi,

    I actually am Retro Chick!

I noticed I was getting a lot of traffic from here!

It's nice to have so many entries, I hope you like my blog and store, and suggestions are more than welcome. I'm sorry I've nothing in your size at the moment reniannen. It's the nature of what I sell means that I get new stuff in every week, and most things are a one off, please do check back!

I don't intend to be sending more than an email a week at a very maximum, and probably more like one a month to my mailing list, so please feel free to join up.

I actually have another competition running at the moment in conjunction with BT Myplace which I don't think has had as many entries as it takes a bit more effort, and a bit of google research, it's to win a netbook, so a pretty good prize! I can't post links but you can find it under Retro Chick Competitions on the blog

I do think you might enjoy my blog too as I focus a lot on affordable fashion, having many years experience of being sadly skint!

I recently wrote a post with 5 tips on having fun with no money and I do an ocasional "Outfit under £50" series (as I can't post links for the first post try searching my blog for "greasypalm" and the second is a category "Under £50" in the drop down on the left!)

Shameless self promotion over and done with now!

    Good luck with the competition!
  • Hi Reniannen - apols not necessary, I just wanted to let people know that RetroChick is 'one of us' :¬)
