How do I post an attachment on MSE?

Hi

I've been trying to post a photo on a thread now for a week but to no avail. I'm not sure if this is the right thread or not. At the bottom of my screen are my posting rules and I am not allowed to post attachments. Does anyone have any idea how I do this. I know that it is possible as I have seen other threads with images in them

You need to use one of the free photo hosting sites, upload the photo there and post a link to the URL of the photo.

www.photobucket.com is a popular one.

MSE doesn't upload photos. That's the only way to do it (unless you're running your own webserver!).

If it's a photo of something common, find a pic on the internet and link to it instead.

Image URLs are added here by using the button with the picture of a mountain on it. Like this:

Bare in mind that this could be considered as bandwidth theft from the owser of the site you are linking from - be careful
