We applied via another company who passed us to W&H and we had the letter saying we had been provisionally accepted but to send the fee of nearly £40 to cover their administration costs.

We did and then heard nothing. We called them and they told us we had to get our credit report and send it to them which we did. Then we heard nothing...

So, we filled in their online application tracker which tells you someone will call you back within 2 hours, nothing. We did this multiple times over a period of a week maybe.

Eventually, around 4 weeks later, we called them and they said our provisionally accepted lender had withdrawn their offer but they would be re-submitting our application on around 2 weeks later (they said they had to wait so long between applications). We heard nothing by 3 weeks later. Filled out the tracker and still met with silence.

We again called them to hear that it hadn't yet been re-submitted but would be within a week and they'd contact us but guess what? Yup, nothing.

What troubles me is if they re-submit, is that you being credit searched again? If so, surely they need your permission to do that more than the original time you agreed to? That's affecting your credit score everytime they search you.

There are several companies doing this. [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] You pay for them to act as brokers introducing you to another company, they don't lend money themselves. You either don't get an offer or get a massive interest sub prime offer.

Can you take them to small claims? Probably, but for £40 its not worth it.
    Walk away.

    Regards
