You'd probably be better off asking on the 'Shop but don't drop' forum:

JJB Closing 70 odd shops so big discounts according to the above post.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Dont forget that if you are a Mutual Points member and you've registered your debit/credit card through them, you receive mutualpoints in store at JJB. I received over 350 points for a £45.00 purchase last week!0

My guess is you will probably be able to get a supervisor to give you about 10%, but only if you can see some kind of flaw, perhaps some glue showing around the sole? I'd expect that only the managers can discount higher than that, and they probably aren't as appraochable or findable in a large store."If a man says something, but there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Personally if I am looking for a specific pair of trainers, I look online first (even Ebay) for the prices I can get, go in and mess them around a bit trying on different trainers, then ask them the price of the ones I was after in the first place. I then tell them I was thinking more in the region of £X and see what happens. If they won't bring the price down (and they have before now) at least I now know which size to get online and have had a bit of fun trying on other shoes! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
