shame you can't download for ipod use later.....

I managed to work out how to download the files so you dont have to play them through the flash player.

Here is how to do it, you need some technical knowhow!

When you click on the [x] you get sent to a url like this:

http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/7qZWfZWmwMFeQ2SwO

This redirects to something like this:
http://www.dailymotion.com/flash/flvplayer.swf?rev=1159178487&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymotion.com%2Fget%2F6%2F320x240%2Fflv%2F686266.flv%3Fkey%3Dbe9a4688c03a14c6351529ac08b70dc4126e1d6%26log%3D1%26log_blog_key%3D7qZWfZWmwMFeQ2SwO%26log_referer%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fallsimps.com%2Findex.php%3Fseason%3D18&previewURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymotion.com%2Fmedia%2Fdyn%2Fpreview%2F320x240%2F686266.jpg%3F20060919011241&autoStart=0&estatEnabled=1&estatClient=players_dm&estatSection=blog

You need to dowload the following:

I shove this through wget (unix utility) and I get:

Resolving http://www.dailymotion.com/get/6/320x240/flv/686266.flv?key=be9a4688c03a14c6351529ac08b70dc4126e1d6&log=1&log_blog_key=7qzwfzwmwmfeq2swo&log_referer=http://allsimps.com/index.php?season=18... failed: Name or service not known.

(there may be another way to get the control codes out of the url, I dont know)


So then I type:
http://www.dailymotion.com/get/6/320x240/flv/686266.flv?key=be9a4688c03a14c6351529ac08b70dc4126e1d6&log=1&log_blog_key=7qzwfzwmwmfeq2swo&log_referer=http://allsimps.com/index.php?season=18...

into firefox and it downloads (presumably due to a cookie being there).

Note you cannot copy my link, because the "key" part of the url is unique and you cannot exclude this or it denies you access. You need to load the swf movie first to get the key.

If you find the source of the video (http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/7qZWfZWmwMFeQ2SwO ) , you can download it alot easier as posted above by rogue_element above at https://www.keepvid.com and it will d/load the video as FLV (flash) format... SUPER (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) can change it to ipod / psp / mpg etc. format for you
