when is a seller supposed to leave feedback and when does everyone leave their feedback, are you meant to leave it after they have paid for it ?

I leave feedback as soon as payment is recieved and has cleared.0

This is a chestnut that comes up all the time and divide many on here.
As a seller I can only advise that from experience I only leave feedback when my buyer has left feedback, thereby confirming their satisfaction with my service and product. I see the transaction as only being complete one the buyer has paid, received and confirmed they are happy with the item.0 -
I leave feedback when my buyer is satisfied. It's all too easy to leave a seller a hasty neg when you've been given a premature positive.
Incidentally, ebay also agree that the buyer should leave feedback first. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I used to leave feedback immediately after receiving payment, but I've read too much on this forum about the pitfalls to do that now!0

As a buyer I leave feedback the same time whether the seller has or hasn't and I'm sure you'll find every good seller is the same, once I have the item and it's what I've expected I leave feedback and as far as I'm concerned the sale is over. I do recommend you wait til after the buyer leaves feedback however because they aren't all good.Nice to save.0

I agree, Once I recieve a buyers feedback this tells me that the buyer is happy and then I leave feedback which completes the transaction.
I hope this helps,
