Boots / Max Factor Cinema Tickets Offer

Options
Leaflets in Boots next to Max Factor products. Buy any one product, send in your till receipt with the leaflet, and you can choose EITHER a 2-for-1 Vue Cinema Select Card offering 6-months unlimited 2-for-1 admissions on selected films, OR ten 2-for-1 admission vouchers for entry to selected independent cinemas across the UK until 31.08.06.

Details of the Vue option are at https://www.myvue.com/2for1 , details of the independent option are at https://www.tlc-rewards.com/maxfactorcinemas . The independent option could be even better, since at some points on the leaflet they don't mention the '2-for-1' option at all so the vouchers COULD just be straightforward admission vouchers.

Offer closes 28.02.06. I'm no make-up expert, so don't know how much the cheapest Max Factor product is that Boots sells - but I'm sure that someone can oblige ;) . But it looks a good deal if you have a participating cinema nearby.

Official insert

This is a great spot. All you have to do is buy one Max Factor product and the cheapest on offer is a powderpuff at £4.25.

A couple of things to watch out for: the Vue 2 for 1 card applies to certain films only and the films available change every week. Currently the only film on offer is Flightplan.

Therefore, if you’ve a participating cinema nearby, the second option is a better deal. You get 2-for-1 admission vouchers for entry to selected independent cinemas until 31.08.06 and you can see any film. See a full list of cinemas taking part

  • Thanks looks like a good offer. Unfortunately our local independent cinema isn't listed and our nearest Vue cinema which we use quite often isn't listed either.

Cheapest one on the Boots website appears to be Max Factor Cream Puff at £4.45. I assume the prices are the same in store?
  • I thought the choice of cinemas was very limited. Unfortunately the nearest cinema to me is 1hr 30 mins drive away and with a £5 fee to cross the humber Bridge this isn't such a great deal. For those that can use the tickets then what are you waiting for? A great offer for those that have a cinema near by.
  • Thanks for this, looks like I am one of the lucky ones...Leamington is easy to get to :j

*lol* They list the Imax in Bournemouth as a participating cinema - it's rarely open (despite website assurances) and was recently featured in that "Demolition" programme about useless/ugly modern buildings.
  • Unfortunately though it looks like the offer only applies to certain films (and at certain times). Flightplan is the one on offer at the moment. They'll be targetting the free tickets at the screens with empty seats for sure.

Why, oh why do they never have any of the offers anywhere that is convenient for me?!! I live in King's Lynn and used to live in Newbury, neither of which ever seem to be in "offers" lists!!

Nearest Vue cinema to me is the Lowry in Salford - but it's not on the list :( Pity, esp as the cinema is EMPTY nearly all of the time (tip for anyone who ever plans to go there - don't buy the Pick'n'Mix, it's ancient and really manky!)
