Recommendation for vacum

Hi I am looking for a new vacum and would appreciate any recommendations.
What I am looking for is an upright vacum, bagless, with onboard tools, good suction.
Price range, not over £150. Would prefer to pay a lot less if possible.
Look forward to hearing your recommendations.

I have a miele cat and dog and it is ace (don't have cats/dogs just long haired kids that moult everywhere:rotfl: ). Seriously the pick up with the turbo brush is great. £179 in John Lewis but the £20 vouvher is about at the moment bringing the price down.
The "non turbo" head will do wood floors too.0 -

its actually Which? best buy. I am also looking for new cleaner. Was thinking of the brandnew upright 'ball 25' frm Dyson but its about £240 which is a lot of cash. Dyson recommend this 'ball 'range for mixed floors. I have never had a cylinder, I always imagine it slower and more faffy than upright but maybe not. Cylinder or upright folks????? The problem is that it has to be good for laminate floors and carpets, otherwise the basic dyson would be just fine. But that sortt of Dyson not particularly recommended for hard floors0 -
I have the Miele too - I was used to upright ones but I love my Miele. Its really easy to manouvre and store. Its great on stairs and much easier to keep clean than the bagless ones.
I don't have the pet one - I have this

I also noticed this on pricerunner and I want to know more on this.
I could not find this product sold anywhere else or even on Dyson site so I was wondering iite impressed that you can take the connecting pipe out and attaach an attachment to take the spider web out or use on curtain etc.
Can we have this facilitiy in tghis model. and how is the performence on carpets?
I will apericiate if you can provide more info on this.
Cheers

hi
its more or less like the normal dco7 but this dc07i
have the standard features of the Dyson DC07 which include on board tools, lifetime filters, plus brush control which enables the beater brush bar to be stopped thus being able to clean on hard floor surfaces.
Brush Control for delicate floors / hard floors
The brush control system protects rug fringes and the drive belt. The foot operated control easily turns the brush off when cleaning delicate rugs and hard floors.
and has Auto carpet-height adjustment
so that why we bought this one as it can do more than the normal dco7
i did ask why was it called dco7i and they said its made for Independent Traders
so that why its not on dysons web site, its also on here
http://www.barmey.co.uk/ssl/aspcart/...duct_id=100414
more details about it, good cleaning suction power on carpets and the pipe extends for cleaning stairs and has the 3 attachments as you will see in pic
hope this helps
plus the 5 year warranty clinch the deal for us0 -
i have henry would never have anything else!!0
