EuroDisney and kids in paris (merged threads)

Thinking of going to euro disney in the next few months. I can get cheap flights from Glasgow to Paris (Beauvais). Anyone know how far this is from Eurodisney ??

No matter how cheap your flights are you'll be well and truly striped up in EuroDisney itself. I don't know how far your particular airport is but if you are travelling into the Park each day the traffic can be horrendous, esp at weekend. Also the Park itself was a real let down as far as we were concerned. We took our 4 kids year before last, in March, aged between 4 and 14, and none of them wanted to go back on the second day so we went to Paris instead. The queues for rides were too long, the food wasn't up to much, it's a lot smaller than it appears on the adverts etc. etc. Sorry to be a damp squib but that was our experience. Universal Mediterranea in Salou Spain is so much better.0

i have no idea where beauvais is, sorry!
it's not called eurodisney anymore, it's disneyland resort paris. that might make it easier for you to find information about it :-)
it's quite easy to get to from paris itself, i think there have been a few threads about it on here, do a search. i'd imagine that there will be a train station close to the airport. disney is right next to the train station called marne le vallee chessy (you can see the gate from the train station, it's literally 2 minutes). it's at the end of a line. trains go regularly until around midnight. if you're on the underground you can get onto the main train line at a metro station called charles de gaulle etille. there are probably lots of other ways, i just remember that when we went from disney into paris we went to charles de gaulle etiolle to change between normal train and underground train lines. disneyland is around 45 minutes train journey from paris itself.
i went as an adult and have been back as a parent, once when my son was 5 and again when he was 8 (with other kids aged between 5 and 7). they all loved it. the rides aren't really that special but there are special features such as the 'honey i shrunk the audience' show. there are fastpasses for some rides and if you're in a disney hotel you can book to have your breakfast in the park before it opens, that way you get onto 2 or 3 rides before everyone else even gets to the queues. we queued for 90 minutes for a ride once, i was glad we'd remembered to bring playing cards, colouring books, etc. with us lol! but never did we wait in a line as long as we'd have done in alton towers.52% tight0 -

If you are thinking of going (and I recommend it!) then do a search on the chat room for the post about shares. On that recommendation I have just bought 20 shares in Eurodisney for £4 + £15 admin fee. But this gives me 10% off the hotels and passes in Eurodisney, 10% off all the shops and restaurants, use of an exclusive share holders lounge for free drinks and snacks etc. etc. Find the post and read up. Also, there is a link on that post giving you the telephone number of Computashares, who I purchased the shares over the phone with. Have fun!0

Well I flew glasgow to beauvais (spell) with ryanair and this is how it turned out
the airport is miles out of town but ryanair have a shuttle bus that runs with the planes so its 10 euro to use the bus.
Then you just take the RER trains (underground) all the way to 'Parc Disney' and thats it no problem at all!! I think its the red line.
the train takes about 30 mins from central paris and drops you outside the park gates no probs
And the park itself is awesome loved every minute and you can get a fast track ticket for the best rides.
We didnt have to queue at all
oh btw an extra 10 euro gets you into walt disney studios which is well worth a visit they have a few rides and some great shows then you can eat in planet hollywood and you are set!

We were there in March last year. It's great you'll enjoy it. We were at the parks during the week and it was quite no queues, we also went back the morning before we flew home it was a Saturday and it was mobbed. So if possible best to avoid the weekends.0

we've been 5 times in the past 2 years, and it is fantastic. Disney have an offer on in January for that kids travel and stay free, and they have 4 nights for the price of 3 offer too, so check the prices with the official site https://www.disneylandparis.com/uk, before trying to organise it separately yourself, cos it can work out dearer. Never use a travel agent such as THomas cook, as they will just rip you off, my friend paid £1800 for 4 nights earlier this year, we went through the official site and paid £750, if you do make your own way there, and can find easyjet flights to Charles de Gaulle, then there is an official coach transfer straight into Disney for around £30 for a family of 4, see https://www.vea.fr

We went in February last year with an 11 year old and it was freezing. We had a 3 day pass and each day was colder than the last. As there are quite a few rides I couldn't do I spent quite a lot of time drinking coffee and / or getting as close as I could to the patio heaters.
