platium diamond solitaire ring WANTED

I'm after a platium diamond solitaire ring around £1000,where would be the best place to look? I want value for money and I feel the high street jewellers might be selling (in the words of Mr Ratner) crap.

Looking forward to the advice.

I bought my wife a belated engagement ring for Christmas (we've been married nearly 10 years but couldn't afford an engagement ring back then) from http://www.diamondgeezer.com

Don't let the name put you off, it's not some East London wide boy, I actually dealt with a very nice lady who gave me loads of advice. Wifey was very impressed with the ring and the diamond is very high quality (all the diamonds are properly certified and you get to choose from their stock).

When the ring arrived my wife decided she'd prefer a yellow gold band rather than the white gold I'd ordered and they changed the band over for about £20.

    Good luck.

Where are you based? Tru the jewellery quarter in Birmingham or the Diamond Trade Centre in Manchester, save yourself a nice tidy packet over high street.

I too can highly recommend Diamondgeezer, it's their shop/workshop in Bourton-on-the-Water. I bought two platinum and diamond wedding rings from them. They cost a total of £1,300 and had an independent valuation of just under £2,000.

I actually bid for one ring on their Ebay website and enquired whether they could supply two. They then called me and asked what exactly I was looking for. They then said rather than buying the Ebay item, which was a return, they would supply two brand new, made to order rings. Their website is very informative and you can track the progress of your order online.

In my opinion they are a highly professional outfit, and I would highly recommend them.
    Waddle you do eh?

    Or you could try:

    or the Ratner site!

But remember the 3 C's (colour, clarity and cut) - these really do effect the price you pay and the value of the product you buy!
I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!

Thanks guys, I'm located in Birmingham so I will make a trip to the jewelery quarter and look at what I can get there for a grand.

Diamond Geezer looks an impressive site, my be tempted to go to Bourton on the water.
