Turkey - Currency

Hi

Off to Turkey next week, and have been told that the Euro is widely accepted

Can anyone confirm, whether or not it would be sensible to take Turkish lira as well or whether the euro will be fine

Also, any other general advice, such as adaptors for electricals, etc etc. We are staying in Atalaya

Thanks

Lis

We're going in a few weeks and we're taking Lira. I'm not sure how widely accepted Euro's are, but I'd rather pay in their local currency.

I've also heard that market traders love English £10 notes, so we're taking a stash of those. If you barter and then show them a £10 note, they often throw in extra stuff :D
Here I go again on my own....
