There is a way of recording without the adverts but this involves watching the programme again.Don't know if you want to bother.0

Its not easy, ive never managed it, you cant do it with HDMI selected, and you cant do it "Live", you can only record stuff youve already recorded.
good Luck anyway0 -
I have got a normal tele not HD.and i can record live tv. and recorded V+ programmes to my dvd recorder. Roddydogs,--I presume you are using an HD recorder to record to.0

No only a simple VHS recorder, i only wanted to try it incase someone asks me for a tape. I have HD, so of course i have the box set to HD, the record features do not work , you have to switch back to Scart, but even when i do this i still dont get a signal to record, How do you get it to record live? as when you go into "Copy to VCR/DVD" you only get a list of previosly recorded programmes anyway.I have got a normal tele not HD.and i can record live tv. and recorded V+ programmes to my dvd recorder. My set up is--scart v+top to bottom scart on tv.---scart on v+ bottom to top scart ex2 on DVD recorder---bottom scart on dvd recorder,ex1 to top scart on tv.When i record live i just switch dvd recorder on and select input from v+.I am not very technical but i would think you have got to get an input from v+to recorder and from vcr to tele. Try playing something on vcr and get it to come through tele first by moving the scarts around, then plug the v+ into the other scart on vcr and see if you can see the programme that is being broadcast. You may need to alter input to tele using the tele remote.Sorry but it is all hit and miss i'm afraid.0
