I was just checking the Coventry BS website and saw this 4.25% fixed rate bond launched today.

2.5 yrs - think I'd still go for the Nationwide 3yr @ 4.7% - for amounts over 25K0

I would too, if I didn't have the FSA guaranteed limit with them already.
I've over the limit with Coventry paying 3.25% (50 plus e-save 6 - transferred last year from their 50 plus e-save 5 paying 6.25%)
This is due to end in July.
Last year they wrote and offered me 2% to keep it in the e-save 5 but I'd already opened the e-save 6 in readiness.
Likely they'll offer me the 2% again to leave money where it is.
So, easy to open (money already with them) and 4.25% much better than 2%.
Got another bond maturing with Northern Rock at the end of the month. Now where to put that?
Money can be a pain sometimes.

How did you manage this? According to the Ts & Cs you can only ever have one 50 Plus easve account.0 -
There was a thread on here last year, with complaints from people who already had the 50 plus e-save 5 and thought they couldn't open another. I actually complained about this to Coventry, they relented and let me (and others) open a 50 plus e-save 6.How did you manage this? Aha - that's taught me a lesson. I naively believed the Ts & Cs couldn't be challenged.

Opened this bond yesterday online. Had money coming out of YBS maturing bond which landed in current account this morning, used faster payments to E Save Coventry and transferred the money to Bond online, very smooth process, that's why I like Coventry. Not that worried about not being able to get at money, every month rates stay low I win.0
