(((((hugs))))) stop talking to them hun, it's obvious they aren't going to listen. Keep sending the letters about wanting everything in writing, keep sending token payments with a copy of your SAO and every time they phone either don't answer or simply refuse to answer the security questions.
You are making this so much harder on yourself. as you say you owe them money, nothing more.0 -
hugs back. just taking it so personal and feel so alone - thank God for this site xxx0

Just Hang Up For Godsake They Want You To Talk On The Phone To Try And Grind You Down Hang Up Or Change Your Number0

go onto the mbna website and setup your account access and then change your contact number to say a pre-pay mobile, after a week or so the calls on your other phone should stop, they did for me, well they still keep calling the new mobile, but it's on silent so I don't hear it.... oops.
You can write the letters but don't expect a decent response, just keep sending them and keep a record and then complain, make their life as hell as they've made yours and they'll get the message in the end.BSC Member 44 - not bankrupt yet, but getting there...0 -
If you sign up to BT privacy you get free caller display service, you could then see who was calling. I don' t know if Telewest or NTL offer the same.
BT also offer a service called anonymous call reject so if MBNA call from a withheld number it would stop them in their tracks. It does cost £4 a month but at least it would stop any calls from them until they figure out how to send out a proper caller id. Bonus is that it stops 99% of marketing type calls too :-)
This link might help as what they're doing may fall under the protection from harrassment act 1997.

Change your number! Tell no-one outside of friends and family
You will see the difference.
If they phone again just say 'who are you after' ............... 'nah never heard of him/her'

total ally stressed are you trying to fill up the forum with the initials MBNA? lol As everyone has said before PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE refuse to speak to them. Ask soon as they say they are calling on behalf of MBNA HANG UP!! After all they are not going to come around and have a go at you for hanging up on them are they? They are obviously distressing you, give youself a break and ignore them. It will make no difference to them stopping charges/intrest etc if you answer the phone to them or not the outcome will be the same.0

I have a son with special needs and often it is him who picks the phone up - I'm protecting him as he is terrified.0
