Hello peeps :hello:
Although we have double glazing installed we suffer from condensation on our bedroom windows, we don't have air vents on the windows as we were never offered the option, any suggestions for trying to keep the condensation down?
TIA

We have the same problem and we HAVE the air vents! I don't have any suggestions to prevent the condensation (but will watch with interest to see if anyone has!) but we bought a dehumidifier a few years ago and leave it running in the mornings to get rid of the condensation quickly if that's any help!0

Hi 10past6,
The experts on the In My Home board should be able to help with this so I'll move your thread across.
If you search that board for threads about condensation on windows there are lots of threads that may be helpful to you.

Is it worth using a squegee and a cloth to clean up the condensation on a window when this happens? I do this from time to time and squeeze the water out into the sink. I don't know how much difference it makes but it is removing moisture from the room.0

However cold it gets keep the window open a little... and of course open the windows during the day to change the damp air ..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I've tried that, however my OH has a genuine fear of spiders thinking there going to come in.
Spiders do not have to climb in through an open window - they are already in the house. It is amazing how they can come in - the tinyist of holes in door frames and brickwork. We live on the edge of farming fields and the size of spiders have to be seen to be believed! I get my partner to move them on - she is not afraid to pick them up!!!

I always got a lot of condensation on my bedroom windows, I got a ebac dehumidifer which has smart control so that when ever i have my windows shut i have my dehumidifer on, now i get only a small amount of condensation when it is frosty.
Have a look at the website for more info http://ebac.com/index.php1
