According to their 'expert' advice the French word for a rare steak is bleu.
In real live, however, the French word for a rare steak is saignant and bleu means very rare/raw.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Andre is right, bleu is the level below rare - it's a barely-cooked steak.0

I think we are better to stick with the answer at #1 as their Expert said...........
The times given here are a guide only and refer to a steak that is approximately 2½cm or 1in thick. Thicker steaks may require a longer cooking time, and vice versa for thinner steaks.
Rare (bleu)
Cooking time (per side): 1-2 minutes
In the end that will be the answer that they want0 -
