I read in a computer magazine recently of another company that recycles CDs and turns them into plastics that can be used elsewhere.
The article said "The company doesn't use nasty chemicals in the process and recycles the inserts and jewell cases too".
The address listed was -

There is a place that used to "press them" and turn them into walls and flooring and stuff. He did the same with mobile phones and Barbie dolls. Does anyone know who it was who did that?0

I have stacks of scratched CDs I cant bear to bin.
Are they CD's you would like to play again? Not that I want to encourage spending
, but have you tried the Disc Clinic from JML? I wouldn't want to sound like an advert but this product apparently 'restores and repairs all damaged discs (CDs, DVDs, CDRoms, Games and Laser discs)' No more skipping or jumping! (Oops, sounding just like an advert!:o ) Its just a shame to get rid of something if you don't have to - yet, anyway! Worth a try? Look out for it at JML suppliers or I think you can get it from JML online? HTH

if you place one over a tin then pour boiling water over it ...it will form into a dish...I use these as tealight holder's in the garden in summer...also I used some for a mobile to keep my cats busy and playful...and when the light catches it it give's a rainbow colour off and looks really pretty hanging in the garden....I also sprayed aload and stuck them to the wall to make a display very effective when the lights shines in from the windows...also I used some for a border in the back garden same again when the light catches great effect...:Dyou could also put boiling water on them and use them as ash trays for the summer if you have loads of barbies...:D
