Getting cash in USA with Nationwide Cards

Hi

I am visiting Las Vegas and New York in two weeks time with my flexaccount and credit card.

Does anyone know which banks' machines can we withdraw cash from without having to pay a fee?

Hi there,

Used my flexaccount debit card last year in USA and Canada without too many problems, just one machine didnt like the card, and no charges anywhere.

However I think the Credit Card charges you for cash withdrawals.

Thanks for that, I wasnt planning to use my credit card to get cash, I was using that for all my purchases and my debit card to get dollars out.

I was travelling the west coast and mid west for 3 months last year and it is very much pot luck to whether you have to pay charges for withdrawls. You don't get charged by nationwide but we found that it did depend on what town ur in and not particulary what bank, for example getting charged at wells fargo in some towns and not in others! The local state banks nearly all charge. My best advice is to just wait and see.

The Chevy Chase bank ATM's don't charge the Nationwide debit cards - they can be found in airports (usually not far from the exit from the baggage hall, and also in the departure areas) and in shopping malls.

A couple of quick questions about using your Nationwide Flexaccount Card abroad.....

Can you check your £ balance in ATMs abroad? or does it display it in local currency?

How much can you withdraw daily? (is there are £ or overseas currency limit?)

I personaly could check my balance on most machines, it was displayed in local currency $. As for the withdrawel limit, i believe this will be the same as your withdrawel limit back home.
