I was refused an Aqua card

YET.... i was accepted for a Capital One card...and didn't have to supply proof of address or security deposit :j
I was given the impression from the aqua card telephone team that if i had a capital one card and was using it properly (which i am) that as they...'personally look into each application and not just a computer checking them', that i would more than likely be accepted for one
Oh well, i will stick with Cap One as they have given me that chance to improve my credit rating through them

No worries :grouphug: Where ever theirs a will theirs a way

I also applied and was refused! Amazing really I have a full Halifax current account with chq. guarantee card, £250 (and was asked if I wanted more) o/d and close to a £1,000 p/m salary going into the account and they still refused
Aqua credit cards are Halifax credit cards for low credit scores!
Not to worry I have my Barclaycard and Vanquis credit cards plus it made me move back to my original bank The Co-Operative Bank :T
Have you applied for the BarclayCard (Initial) I highly recommend them over any other credit card as you get special deals of eg: 5.9% on BT ...etc even for new customers plus you have a greater success of having your limit increased and after a period of good use a better status card.Proudly Banking & Saving With:

I tried them around the same time as the Capital One card, and got refused too
I don't really need another card, i would just like to have another card on my file to build up my credit rating a bit quicker!
Oh well...patience is a virtue...... :rotfl:0 -
Just received some bumph ( application) throught the post this morning and was shocked to see the APR on the card ...a debt mounting 29.9% and on cash advances its a whopping 39.9% ...
the leaflet has the following laughable message
The credit card that helps you free up your finances
With an APR like that i think need to go back to the school of reality.Come on Ilson ....:footie:0 -

JUST MAKE SURE YOU PAY THESE OFF EVERY MONTH OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE IN BIG FINANCIAL TROUBLE WITH RATES LIKE 29.9%

These cards are marketed at people with low credit scores, hence the higher interest rates. Provided you pay them off in full every month, they can be a very good way of rebuilding a credit rating.0
