They accept debit cards.(Switch etc).0

Take your own bags as well as they charge for these - everything's just piled back in your trolley & you pack your bags afterwards.0

They don't take credit cards, but will take debit ones.
Their shops seem to be cleaner than Lidl (Well ours is anyway!)I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -

Two quick comments in passing ...
It's no bad thing to pay in cash - set your budget, take that amount out of the Bank, then go shopping - it makes you think twice about what you're buying - for me paying in cash, rather than just having a card which pays the bill whatever it is - was one of the best budgeting tools I have used. It's amazing what you pick up, then put back on the shelf - find you never miss - and walk out with change!!!
And I think you may be surprised at the quality you find at Aldi - and pleasantly surprised at the prices for many items. If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.

Aldi now accept Credit Cards (Mastercard and Visa) as well as Debit Cards. :j
Just to echo what other people have said - I absolutely love Aldi! The quality is fantastic, the stores are not usually too busy and you can get some really good buys!
You do need to take your own bags (at least this helps the environment!) or our local store usually has plenty of empty boxes for you to pack your shopping in. Don't forget your pound coin for the trolley!
Hope this helps!0 -
Yes, have to agree I love Aldi too...I think they were the first to do special offers on cheap veg each week.
Word of warning though, theur Gardenline range..gardening stuff is a bit naff...had 3 watering timers and then my money back! And something else in that line.
But to be fair there is never a quibble about a refund. Took a hairdryer back, thought it didn't work, had another one, then discovered it was operator error...ooops!!0 -
Sorry if I've given the wrong info! We live in South Wales and our Aldi has been accepting credit cards for the last couple of months. We always pick up the leaflet that shows which specials are coming up and it says in the corner of the leaflet 'We now accept Credit Cards'. I checked the leaflet before doing the above post in case it said Welsh shops or something similar but as it didn't I assumed that it meant nationwide. Anyway, sorry if I was wrong!0

Don't worry - at least it gives some hope to those of us in areas where they're not currently accepting credit cards!Stompa0
