Please note the small print though:
*The £30 discount is available to new customers only when they spend £60 or more on their first order and is conditional on being accepted for a Great Universal credit account, acceptance is subject to status. If you are not accepted for a credit account you will not be entitled to the discount. Only one voucher per household. Code expires 31st December 2008. We reserve the right to withdraw this promotion at any time.

Received the same code for "AdditionsDirect" today.

*The discount code may only be used once to obtain £30 discount when you spend £60 or more on your first order. Only one voucher per household. Code expires 31st December 2008. We reserve the right to withdraw this promotion at any time.

The discount is available to new customers only. Returned goods will not count towards the value of the order. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or promotional offer. Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use. If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:-(i) you are entitled to use the code; (ii) you meet all the conditions that apply to its use; (iii) you agree to the terms set out below. If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.

Very strange! I was just sent the same code in an email, but I'm definitely NOT a new customer! I logged onto my account and my Order History is shown there, so why would they send me this code
  • Those conditions sound a bit onerous. Wouldn't want to buy something then get charged another 30 quid cos they decide I'm not entitled. Any way of getting sent the code directly to be on the safe side? How did others end up receiving it?

  • they sent me this code too and i am already a customer. think it is just something churned out to everyone!
    Won't buy nuffink without a discount :p
  • I got sent the code also but would it be ok for me to use it as I have accounts with Littlewoods & Ldirect but not Additions? as I have heard they are all the same company?

I got sent this as a new customer, couldn't get it to work, so rang up. They processed it on the phone and then emailed me a copy which showed the £30 off - so I'm happy I've got it in 'writing' that the voucher has been applied. I can then send a cheque once I get the invoice. Just hope stuff arrives in time for Christmas!
  • I am a new customer and never used additions direct, so could I use this code to pay by cc, even though it wasn't sent to me in person?

Seems odd that they send it to people who already are their customers, wouldn't that invalidate the code if they used it?
