Question >>What events does the Status report not record?
Answer >> Birthdays (thanks guys, this wasnt an option when the comp was posted)
We all accept the need for security software but even then we can leave weak points exposed in the computer itself.
Sometimes the PC is the problem and sometimes it's the person sitting in front of it.
The Yoggie Gateway Soho takes away the responsibility from individual computer users and offers an extra level of protection. And we have 16 to give away to our lucky winners.
Each Yoggie Gateway Soho is worth £125 and can work in two modes. If you use a notebook to connect to an unfamiliar network it can sit between the two to block any attacks.
All communication between the notebook and the internet is scanned to make sure that it does not pose a threat in any way.
Of far more use to most homes, however, is the Yoggie Gateway Soho's ability to connect to a home network and provide protection to up to five computers. Once installed, the Yoggie Gateway Soho provides protection against virus and spyware attacks and includes a firewall for stopping hackers in their tracks.
Just as crucially, it features parental controls to make sure that you stay in control of what happens on the network. If the Yoggie is removed from the network in an attempt to avoid the restrictions the computers will simply refuse to connect to the internet.
The Yoggie Gateway Soho is based on Linux so it is immune to attacks focused on Windows and updates itself automatically to adapt to new threats without requiring any computers to be switched on.
Settings can be changed by accessing the Yoggie Gateway with an internet browser. This tool can also be used to check on any firewall or malware events that have been blocked.
