Hey all,

So I got home from work today to some post and thought 'that's odd what's this large envelope?l Now baring in mind I went BR on Monday and have checked the site to see if it's showing- it's not....I open the envelope to be bombarded with a letter from some company saying 'sorry you've been made bankrupt but we can help you keep your house and cancel it for you??!!' I don't own my house as I rent and frankly I dont need some company canvassing for business on the back of my BR. To top it off theer were two letters!!! One from 'The bankruptcy Protection fund limited' and one from 'Turnaround finance'....So if my BR is not on the site and my OR interview has yet to happen where have these scumbags got my name from? Has it already been in the papers?? Is that possible from Mon to Thurs???

Aaaargh, I just cant believe the cheek of it!!!

    I did read something about this happening to others and they were advised to not acknowledge these creeps.

    This happened to me; i swapped the envelopes and sent them to each other, other than that put it in the bin - most of us who went br have received them. If they think that we'd go through all that we did to take out more money and get even further in debt than what we already were = stupid !!!!!! that's what i say.:mad:

    Ooh update to that I am on the online blasted search so hooray for that.... I'm not really that worried about that as I was on with an IVA anyway before I just can't believe that these people are lower than shark sh*t!!!!

    Had same sort of stuff mainly from companies i Leeds,Just ignore them. Don't give them any satisfaction.

    I had this- I think they get your details from Insolvency website or the London Gazette.
    I had big, glossy folder, letters and- a visit to my house (turned up on a Saturday afternoon, but went away ok when I said I wasnt interested). Ignore them and they go away after about 2 weeks.

    Did you have the brochure with the rather tubby guy looking sad because he was bankrupt?? He looked a bit like the guy that came to the house, his employers really get their moneys worth out of him.

    I had the exact same thing happen to me and I posted on here as I was too concerned how people got hold of my name/address so quickly - but pretty sure they told me it was because my name (and everyone's) appears on the insolvancy list - and that's where they get your details from - what a job for some poor s*d! :confused:

    I know I just shredded them and put them in the recycling bin!
