Together with software publisher Serif, Computeractive is giving away a copy of Photoplus X2, worth £60, to each of the 20 winners of this month's competition.
Photoplus X2 is an image-editing application that's full of useful features. Its Automated Makeover Tools and On-Screen Help have a range of fixing tools that can automatically fix red-eye, remove blemishes, enhance a tan, whiten teeth and brighten eyes, remove dark circles and smooth skin.
The How To tab, optionally displayed in the main Photoplus X2 interface, ensures that help is never far away. If you do get stuck, then the How To guides offer simple step-by-step advice.
In addition, the software comes with new Filter Layers that will let you add effects such as halftone, lighting, distortion, and sharpening to your pictures. You can also use the Comic Book effect, which flattens colour and enhances edges for a drawn-and-painted look, while Vignette adds an oval soft edge to images. The Texture effect gives images the appearance of having a surface texture, such as paper or stone.
Flexible Outlines is another of Photoplus's useful features, and allows you to draw lines around any text or shape. You can then use this tool to adjust width and opacity, colour graduations and blend modes.
Also included within the software is the Albumplus SE Pro feature. This is a digital image organiser and sharing program that will let you organise your image collections, retrieve files quickly and share photos online. It also has a range of print templates, and will let you burn photos to a disc and create slideshows, as well as adding background music and creating WMV video files.
Question: What does the flexible outlines feature let you do?
Answer: Draw lines around text and shapes
Good Luck
