(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
My hammer is not FREE tradesmen pay them a percentage for your details-The price you were quoted is Online and i doubt very much that will be the price on site-Use at your peril!!OH THE JOYS OF BEING SELF-EMPLOYED!! Can Travel,Will Work For Free!0

All these blooming "trusted" and "rated" sites are mainly rip off merchants.
They are only interested in making money, either from the tradesman or the customer directly.
I would never use any of these sites, if you need a tradesman then get some recommendations from friends, neighbours or relatives.
If they have their own website then you can look at some previous examples of their work and if they do turn out to be awful or con merchants then you can warn people about them in forums, which I am sure 99% of tradesmen do not want.0 -

I think you are on to something here, I don't use any of these as I will not pay to quote but I'm getting seriously undercut (up to 50 %) by 'tradesmen' hundreds of miles away and I'm competitive, I can't for the life of me see how they can do a proper job for the prices being quotedMaybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'0 -

After my experience I would not recommend joining MyHammer as a tradesman, half the registered clowns will bid far lower than is realistic, ie £75 to fit a consumer unit, MyHammers customer service is nonexistent if you encounter problems, you either have a premium rate call line where english is at best a second language and the operators have no power to help, or you can email ( but dont wait for a response as you wont get one! ).
If you pay their membership fees or invoices by paypal, they store your login details and have been known to take unauthorised payments, again dont expect any help from them in getting this sorted.
They appear to have no uk address or contact numbers.
Avoid this dishonest company!0 -
they tried to invoice me for a job I never got, mybuilder.co.uk is tghe same idea, traders buy credits only to find clients have done jib or want it for nowt.0

I had a try with My Hammer.
Was not inpressed
Used it before they changed the site for thr worst.
I have noticed that certain 'traders' with a less than fantastic reputation use it, and the price has been cut to a non-realisitc rate that either means work not is carried out to the wiring regs or quality of materials used is not of a high standardbaldly going on...0
