Hello!

I'm new! :j

I noticed there were some Kenwood experts here so i was wondering if you knew what model this is:

I'm considering buying it off ebay. I've asked what the model is but haven't had a reply yet but I don't want to miss out if it's a 901 or 701!

thank you

I had one which was broken that looked like this.Mine was the 901.
I think most of the spares fit either 701 or 901

Is the trim at the top black or navy? I think navy was a common colour for the 701 and a lot of the black ones are 901's Dont take my word for that though!!

Be careful as the accessories for the new models wont fit a 701 only a 901. I'm saying this because my km0001 mincer, blender etc wont fit my older 701

    Thanks for all the replies!

I'm waiting to see if I can get a 901 (a few minutes left!!!)
I would prefer a 701 but my mother has loads of attachments compatible with the 901 which she doesn't use and says she'll give me so that's the sensible thing to do.

    Well done you!

So you are intending to do your own flour milling.... its very addictive! I've got a proper little flour mill with granite stones and the flour you grind yourself is amazing, so aromatic!

    Thanks Leonie.

The grain mills are 52 quid from what I can see so I'll have to wait on that one.
BTW, where do you get your grains from?

After I won the 901 I spotted this 701..it looks gorgeous!
But I really can't justify TWO KCs! I'm still glad I got the 901 though as it was the sensible thing to do.

Not sure DH will be impressed by my buying even one...."But we've already got a food processor!!" I'll have to educate him ;):p

Buy an older style flour mill if you can, the kind that look more square-shaped than the roundy mincer-like new ones. They come up on ebay every once in a while, and are made mostly of metal - far sturdier than the new ones. I paid something like £16 for mine, never used and in the box, but I have seen them go for much more - I think I was quite lucky.

Congrats on your 901! I must admit that the light blue and white A701's like in the auction above are my personal favourite - but your A901 will be able to do everything that any A701 can do, with the possible exception of shelling peas. I don't think there was a pea sheller for the A901's. Come to think of it, pea shellers are quite important, I don't know how I survived before I got mine. (hee hee hee) and gosh, £19 seems quite a bargain......;) ;);) not that I would actively encourage anyone to own more than one Kenwood Chef...
